Job Description: The Permits Coordinator is responsible for obtaining and managing permits required for HVAC and plumbing projects. This role involves coordinating with local, county, and state agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining detailed records of permits, and following up on applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with the project and operations teams to facilitate timely permit approvals, track project schedules, and manage any updates or changes in regulations that affect permits. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as well as familiarity with local permitting processes and software tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit and manage permit applications for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical projects.
  • Communicate with permitting authorities and track approval processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of permits and project compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure permits are in place on time.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and update processes as needed.
  • Take charge of scheduling and coordination of inspections to ensure permits are closed out.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the HVAC or plumbing industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in permit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local and state permitting regulations a plus.
