A Service Plumber at Hero is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, installations, repairs, and maintenance of residential plumbing systems while providing world class customer experiences and craftmanship. Candidates who will thrive in this role consistently exceed customer’s expectations, communicate well with customers, and can help customers make informed and confident buying decisions. Schedule
- You pick your schedule. Just give us 40 hours of your time during our regular working hours
- No Nights. No weekends. No Holidays. And no on-call. Because we want you to be able to spend time with your family.
- Overtime is offered by management when available, and may at times be required
Essential Job Duties
- Plan and complete all necessary steps in the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing in water, gas and drain systems
- Establish customer rapport and help them choose the right products and services for their home
- Accurately evaluate systems for malfunctions and failures
- Build and present options ranging from repair to permanent solutions
- Respectfully work with dispatch, managers, and other in-house staff to ensure smooth operation for completed and incomplete jobs
- Ensure proper detailed billing, invoicing, and daily documentation of activities
- Maintain company provided vehicle and inventory of parts, tools and shop equipment
Qualifications
- Demonstrates Hero core values at a high level (T.R.U.E.)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal record
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings applicable per state law
- Must be able to regularly lift 50+ pounds
- Hold and maintain Minnesota Journeyman License
- Hold or be working toward obtaining Minneapolis/St. Paul Competency Cards
- Able to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely with other team members, management, and customers
- Must be highly detailed and demonstrate the ability to follow through
- Highly motivated, flexible, and great attitude on life
- Participate actively in all trainings, meetings, and company events
- On-time and prepared to work before the scheduled start time
