Plumbing Maintenance Technician

 

Job Summary

At HERO, The Plumbing Maintenance Technician’s role is critical in ensuring the functionality and safety of plumbing systems for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation, with a focus on delivering high-quality service while recommending upgrades and improvements of plumbing systems while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

 

Hours

  • 7am-4pm (Last dispatch by 4pm), Monday thru Friday
  • Overtime is offered by management when available, and may at times be required

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Meet expected metrics and key performance indicators
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections of plumbing systems to identify and address issues promptly while offering solutions.
  • Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance of plumbing fixtures and systems, including sinks, faucets, toilets, water heaters, and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and plumbing team members to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues.
  • Install new plumbing systems and components as needed.
  • Understand and follow all procedures as well as demonstrate our Core Values
  • Respectfully work with teammates, dispatch, managers, and other in-house staff to ensure smooth operation for completed and incomplete jobs
  • Maintain a clean and inventoried truck as well as keeping jobsites clean if not cleaner then when arrived
  • Participate actively in all training and meetings
  • Have accurate notes, invoices, options, as well as model and serial numbers from equipment serviced recorded
  • Execute a consistent customer walkthrough on calls in accordance with company standard and process

 

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrates Hero core values at a high level (T.R.U.E.)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal record
  • Able to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely with other team members, management, and customers via phone and email
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in small spaces
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and great attitude on life
  • Outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
  • Knowledgeable on current processes, procedures, and any other necessary information
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to multi-task and problem solve with a sense of urgency
  • On time, with a clean presentation of them self, meeting the dress code, and prepared to work every day
  • Be highly skilled in troubleshooting and creating accurate solutions for our customers on all types of relevant systems
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, tools and equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship is a plus.
